14 things that I learned in 2014

2014 is one hell of a roller coaster ride. T'was not a smooth ride I must say but I'm so thankful I was able to surpass everything. Did a few things for the first time, re-met & met new people, went to different places, gained weight (Yep, this sucks), cried & laughed like there's no tomorrow and many more. I did have my fair share of uh-oh and yay moments last year but one thing's for sure, 2014 made me realize so many things and here are some...

1. Don't be afraid to take risks.
It's good to sometimes get out of your comfort zone. I mean, how will you know what your capabilities are as an individual if you don't do or try things that you've never done before.

2. Hard times will reveal true friends.
It is during the hard times that you will get to see friends who'll cry and stay with you.. and will eventually laugh with you after the hard time pass.
3. Good things come to those who wait.
I am thankful with everything that is happening in my life right now.
4. Math is not as bad as you think. (Well as for me)
After elemetary & highschool, can't believe I'm saying this! I'm sure I'm not the only one who hated Math with a burning passion. lol! but as time goes by. it gets better.
5. Don't ever settle for less than you deserve.
Don't ever forget your worth.  “Mostly, you gain strength when you learn to listen to your own voice and live life on your own terms.” -Sara Eckel
6. Once trust is broken, it is gone. Forever.
This is one of the things that I learned the hard way last year. I trust and forgive easily but something happened and twas like a wake up call that I must really be careful on who I exert efforts & give my trust to.
7. You can never be "just friends" with someone who was at one point your best friend and your lover.
8. Family is everything.
They will be your source of strength and inspiration. They're the ones who will never get tired of loving you.

9. and so is sleep
I have a terrible body clock and I used to abuse my body that I always sleep at around 2 or 3 in the morning which resulted to eyebags, weight gain, mood swings & weak immune system. Thank God that I am now slowly recuperating & my body clock is much better now.
10. There will be people who can really get on your nerves. Best thing to do? Just flip your hair & ignore them.
Don't let it get you. You know what they say.. Kill them with kindness :)
11. It's okay not to be okay sometimes.
We're just human beings. We get tired, feel weak, lose hope and cry for a while but always remember to take a deep breath, pick yourself up and keep going.
12. Your age doesn't define your maturity.
Your actions and how you deal with other people & things do. Some develop early. Some develop late and some never
13. Someone out there is looking for exactly what you have to offer.
Someone who will appreciate & will bring out the best in you. You just have to wait. <3

14. God has a bigger & better plans for me than I have for myself.
