Travel Diary: KaLui Restaurant

As a continuation on my first travel diary post from Palawan (Cowrie Island), here's another one! So for our first night in Puerto Princesa, we are scheduled to have our dinner at KaLui Restaurant.

According to our tour guide, KaLui restaurant is like the most famous restaurant in Palawan. It is a must to visit the place. So I got so curious on what made this restaurant stand out from the other restaurant in Palawan. We were given time to shop for pasalubongs and after that, we headed straight to KaLui restaurant. As I entered the restaurant I was amazed by its set up and its ambiance. And I was surprised when one of their staff who is standing at the entrance asked us to remove our shoes. They put numbers on the baskets for you to be able to remember where you left your shoes.

Actually the place is like a native house and the floor is well-polished I must say. I even want to skate inside haha just kidding! We were assisted by one of their staff and we're free to choose where we want to sit. There are 2 choices, you can sit on the chairs or you can sit on the floor, well there are pillows ofcourse. We ended up sitting on the chairs cause in that way, we're closer to the buffet table. Lol!
The walls are filled with paintings. Meaning, your tummy is not just the one who's going to be full, but your eyes as well.
Dessert first!! Joke, it was served after we finished our main course, This are fresh fruits in a coconut with muscovado sugar. This one's a personal favorite! :)
Photo op before we left the hotel!
If only I can bring this home. Ahh so beautiful!
Seafood overdose! Hahaha. This was Esteph's plate, I think she got too excited when she saw the shrimps. (Love you, Esteph! :p) Those are Shrimps, Seaweeds, Seafood Sisig and Mango with Bagoong. She then felt guilty for eating those afterwards. :)
My plate! Their rice is the best, I swear! That's Fish Fillet with sauce and Pork.

As for the expenses, I have no idea how much their food is but if it happens that you're in Palawan right now or going to, I highly suggest that you visit this restaurant. :) It is also better to book in advance.
This one reminds me of an international singer. Make a guess!!
Ofcourse after eating, we roam around the place and have my outfit photos taken.
...and then these cuties made singit while Esteph is taking my outfit shots.
Hope I'll be able to visit this place again in the near future! :)
